The 12th ‘Manila’s Best Dressed’ Gala Night –

One glimpse at the theme of the 12th Manila’s Best Dressed Gala Awards Night says it all. “Glamour and Elegance with a Heart” was a salute to the awardees’ outstanding leadership and contribution to society. The event was held recently at the Grand Ballroom of the Dusit Thani Hotel. Honorary Chairman MBD Woman of Style 2010 awardee, Olga Severino Martel said in her speech: “Beauty is not in the face alone; beauty is a light in the heart.” Most notably, Consul of Gambia Agnes Huibonhoa, a multi talented entrepreneur and dedicated philanthropist received the MBD Woman of Substance 2011 award. The MBD Woman of Style 2011 was awarded to Virginia Lane, who looked radiant in a luminescent goddess gown by Jeanne Goulbourn, Publisher Babe Romualddez received the ‘Man of Style’ 2011 Award.
It was a fine event for a fine cause – the BayaniJuan sa Calauan, which builds a better tomorrow with their relocation center for displaced dwellers from the Estero de Paco and scholars of the Romblon State University. Having their moment of glory were best dressed awardees: Marivic Madrigal Vazquez, Katrina Ponce Enrile, Dr. Aivee Teo and Dr. Z Chen Teo, Cong. Fatima Aliah Dimaporo, Cong. Linabelle Ruth Villarica, Kim Lokin, Pitang Tiongson, Rema Ohno, Baby de Jesus, Mache Torres, Jose Mari Trenas, George Yang, Noel Gonzales and David Ackerman. Chairman and Founder of the Manila’s Best Dressed Awards is Karr Marin, with Cong. Imelda Romualdez Marcos as MBD Adviser.
