\u201cMarry Me at Marriott,\u201d held recently at the Grand Ballroom building of Marriott Manila, was a wedding spectrum far beyond spectacular. It was the launch of the highly exclusive bridal show set to establish itself as a benchmark among bridal exhibits. The Grand Ballroom is a grand statement, the largest in the country so far. As if this wasn\u2019t fabulous enough, general manager Bruce Winton announced that there would be more amenities at the soon-to-open West Wing, thus setting the pace for the wildest dream venue possible. The dynamic Marriott Manila\u2019s director of marketing communications Michelle Garcia said in her speech: \u201cTo the gentlemen, don\u2019t just say \u2018Marry Me.\u2019 Complete it by saying \u2018Marry Me at Marriott.\u2019 And to the ladies, you will not regret the day you said yes, because it\u2019s the start of your grand happy ever after.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guests gushed over the multi-tiered cakes which lined the hallway, designed and crafted by the hotel\u2019s award-winning pastry chefs. There were refreshing drinks from Emperador Distillers and Happy Living Wines. Impressive cocktails were crafted by executive chef Miek Brammer who invited the revelers to the state-of-the-art ballroom. The dazzling white trees by floral designer Michael Ruiz complemented the culinary delicacies that adorned the long immaculate white tablescape. The innovative spread included prawn cocktail in wonton chips, quail eggs Benedict, orange vodka spears, mini baked potato with crispy pancetta in sweet and sour cream, chicken dinakdakan in pandan wrap, salmon tartare in squid ink crispy crepe. Also included were Live Station gambas with parsley rice, along with a choice of sauces\u2014lemon butter, bourbon, pesto and herb butter; mashed potato with organic vegetables; Emmental cheese with German bread, and gelato station with a variety of toppings. More to drool over were the decadent dessert menu of matchamisu in white passion cone, mango carmelito, chocolate moeulleux tart, white calamansi brownie, homemade marshmallows, chocolate pretzels, wedding cupcakes, macaron tower, pralines, truffles, and fresh strawberries.<\/p>\n

The pampered guests were in awe as they viewed the latest in technology. When the lights dimmed, the pillow lights on the ceiling showcased stunning colors with romantic background music. It was a blend of modern style with functionality executed in seamless fashion. Marriott Grand Ballroom\u2019s engaging Skyfold technology offered a total experience with the 300 feet runway for the wedding collection by world-class Filipino designers Francis Libiran, Cary Santiago, Mark Bumgarner, and Ryan Madamba.<\/p>\n

All eyes were on the more than 50 bridal gowns and suits which conjured a universe of romance and fantasy so bewitching that the audience were under their spell. Raffle prize was an overnight stay at the Marriott. Marriott Grand Ballroom\u2019s overall aesthetic sets it apart. Now on its fourth year, Marry Me at Marriott continues to find ways to shine and outshine competition, exuding un vie d\u2019amour.<\/p>\n
