exhibit, held recently at The Peninsula Manila\u2019s Rigodon Ballroom and at the Gallery. International portrait photographer <strong>Ru\u00adpert Jacinto<\/strong>\u2019s Faaabvlous is always on the move, continuously evolving with his art and seeking new grounds. But what always stays constant is his intan\u00adgible quality of elegance. The Faaabvlous fresh take on \u201cThe Fab Gala: Avant Garde in Black &amp; White\u201d was larger than life and was certainly an escape from the mundane humdrum of daily life. Presented in partnership with the Advertising Foundation of the Philip\u00adpines (AdFoundation) and The Penin\u00adsula Manila, the Fab Gala was yet an\u00adother showcase of artistic creativity for Rupert Jacinto, who has been dubbed \u201cPhotographer to the Faaabvlous\u201d by The Washington Post. It has been the springboard for exciting and vibrant photographs that have de\u00adfined his Faaabvlous exhibits for decades.<\/p>\n<p>This not-to-be-missed event had overflowing cham\u00adpagne and wine from Titania Wine Cellar and Liquid Gold. The event was presented in support of the advocacies of the Adfoundation, as well as for the Hydrocephalus Foundation of the Philip\u00adpines. The gold theme at The Gallery was lavishly executed by <strong>Jun Jun Abla\u00adza<\/strong>, and the elegant white orchids that filled the Rigodon Ballroom was executed by <strong>Nina Hal\u00adley <\/strong>of The Love Garden. Host of the evening was <strong>Bea Escudero<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Power packed entertainment fol\u00adlowed, with <strong>Carina Dignos<\/strong>, who belted out <strong>Tina Turner <\/strong>songs, and operatic numbers from the country\u2019s leading so\u00adprano <strong>Rachelle Gerodias <\/strong>and <strong>Byeong In Park<\/strong>, the distinguished baritone from South Korea. An auction of a <strong>Ra\u00admon Orlina <\/strong>sculpture was held with glamorous <strong>Lilibeth Campos <\/strong>winning the bid.<\/p>\n<p>There was no holding back with dis\u00adplay of glitz for Faaabvlous cover lady <strong>Jacqueline Michelle Lim <\/strong>who caught the attention of the Faaabvlous judges. Michelle won best dressed white with her sparkling tiara and fur cape. This time around, there was a catwalk ex\u00adtravaganza which presented a wide spectrum of Faaabvlous new faces, the ladies dressed in their avant-garde gowns.
