Filled to a full house, the sublimely relaxed evening was set in a graceful and captivating Chopin mood, with Cecile\u2019s music transporting me back to distant places, like walking down the cobblestone path on Saint-Germain-des-Pres or the grandeur of the Bel\u00advedere Palace. virtuoso pia\u00adnist of the romantic era, Chopin was called the \u201cPoet of the Piano.\u201d He was a child prodigy who discovered color\u00adful, new passage work and technical figures. Cecile shares: \u201cI have chosen a program which represents Chopin in many ways emotionally, and in various genres.\u201d For the first time, our artist has written the program notes of her repertoire. Part one included \u201cNoc\u00adturne in F major,\u201d \u201cNocturne in B flat minor,\u201d \u201cMazurka in C minor,\u201d \u201cFan\u00adtasy in F minor,\u201d \u201cBerceuse,\u201d \u201cScher\u00adzo No. 2.\u201d After the intermission, she played 12 etudes, including Op. 10, which is dedicated to Chopin\u2019s friend <strong>Franz Liszt<\/strong>\u2014\u201cOp.10 No.1\u201d to \u201cOp.10 No.12,\u201d universally known as \u201cRevolutionary Etude.\u201d In her message, <strong>Nedy Tantoco<\/strong>, president of the Philippine Philharmonic Society, Inc. Yet I would add new acquaintances whose company I enjoy. Having a great relationship with fantasy, I love glorious parties of elegance and style. There is a part of me that desires to be a princess for the rest of my life. Little did I know that my fantasy would soon be a reality in my recent birthday when our best friend, <strong>David Lim<\/strong>, surprised me with a grand gesture: An invitation to host an inti\u00admate champagne dinner at his posh residence. They were in town to attend my husband <strong>Rupert<\/strong>\u2019s recent \u201cFaaabv\u00adlous Fab Gala and Exhibit,\u201d which was held at the Peninsula Manila recently. The illustrious dinner guests included US ambassador <strong>Sung Kim<\/strong>, Japanese ambassador <strong>Koji Haneda<\/strong>, his elegant wife <strong>Ihoko Haneda<\/strong>, consuls <strong>Louie <\/strong>and <strong>Mellie Ablaza<\/strong>, Consul <strong>Helen Ong<\/strong>, <strong>Pacqui <\/strong>and <strong>Lilibeth Campos<\/strong>, <strong>Mia Borromeo<\/strong>, <strong>Virginia Lane<\/strong>, <strong>Tita Trillo<\/strong>, <strong>Joy Rustia<\/strong>, and <strong>Joel Rustia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The dinner took my taste buds into a delicious realm by way of a top-notch menu, most especially the sublime sea bass which was lusciously paired with Dom Perignon.
