60s-inspired Collection at Philippine Fashion Week

Fashion loves a comeback,
and so it was back
to 1960’s downtown
London as Paperdolls
and Wharton presented
their ‘60’s inspired collection at Philippine
Fashion Week Spring-Summer
2011.
The event featured the designs of
top designers, Kate Torralba and Rajo
Laurel. Paperdolls collaborated with
Kate, while Wharton took in Rajo Laurel
for his first all menswear collection.
Kate’s clothes spelled out fun, cheeky
and retro-modern. On the other hand,
Rajo took inspiration from the youth
spirit of the ‘60’s, with James Dean
and Marlon Brando inspired jackets
in gold, silver and bronze.
Manila’s fashionable came out in
force to the launch headed by Mexican
Ambassador Tomas Calvillo with
son Tomas Jr. Spotted were Miriam
Quiambao, Jenni Epperson, Myx VJ
Robin Nievera, Vicky Belo and Cecile
Van Straten.
