It has been said, that too much of a good thing can be wonderful; thanks to the Mandarin Oriental Manila’s ‘Paskuhan sa Paseo Uno’ with Chef Ed Quimson. Hailed as one of today’s most innovative chefs, Master Chef Patron Ed, together with Chef Patron Booj Supe of M Fine Foods crafted Pinoy home cooking with Spanish influence in this Filipino Christmas food festival till December 18.

Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s Executive Chef Rene Ottlik, commented that “ Ed’s divine recipes are rich in taste as they are in tradition.” Chef Ed’s best offerings include: the succulent Lechong Cebu, Crispy Pork Belly and Braised Beef Belly Adobo,  Suha Salad, Tortang Alimasag with Fresh Lumpia Sauce, Paella Tinola, Tinapa Pate, Crispy Kare Kare,  and the celebrated desserts we crave,  such as  the Palitaw filled with Langka, Halo-Halo Bar with Gata and Moscovado and the sinful Pastillas de Leche cheesecake.

Trust Marriott, Manila to cheer everyone up with a Christmas fund raising event for Habitat for Humanity through Bid and Build.  Organized with the participation of designers, celebrities, fashion and beauty brands, the hotel managed to inspire an interesting mix of offerings for the auction.  To officially kick off the bidding, Marriott, Manila General Manager Richard Saul was first to bid for a pictorial session with photographer Shaira Luna.  The hottest items were the airfare tickets from Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, and Zest Air

A rousing number “Life is a Cabaret” was presented in cooperation with   Resorts World Manila’s European Theater Group. Culminating the night’s festivities was the Christmas tree lighting, led by the newly crowned Miss World’s first runner-up Gwendolyn Ruais, together with Pasay City’s First Lady Edna Calixto and Marriott Manila’s GM Richard Saul.
