Crystal Clear Patron en Lalique partner to Make Art in a Bottle

Mexico’s premier tequila distiller, Patron, and the masters of French crystal, Lalique both evoke an elite association. With an impressive client roster, Patron dazzles with over-the-top presentations, and the recent launch of “Art of Patron” platform with Lalique marked the first time that the venerated crystal maker has collaborated with a tequila brand. Rustan’s celebrated this exclusive collaboration, Patron en Lalique: Serie 1 with only 500 individually numbered and handpolished bottles available globally. At the Lalique Boutique, 4th level Rustan’s Makati, there was an atmosphere of stylish intimacy with a splendid view of the Patron en Lalique art piece on display.

Loyal patrons and the well-heeled invitees mingled while Patron’s vice-president Milton took the guests through a brief tequila tasting discovering the different notes and tastes of Patron Tequila variants. Special concoctions shaken with aplomb were the Love and Lust, Mexican Mocha, Siesta Spices, and Cucmber Sizzle.

Patron en Lalique: Serie 1 is a limited edition crystal decanter handmade by Lalique’s master artisans. Design was inspired by Mexico’s indigenous Weber Blue Agave, from which tequila is produced. The amber crystal is shaped to represent the heart of the agave, the piña. This distinctive decanter is Lalique’s signature technique of contrasting clear and frosted crystal finishes to showcase its authenticity in enhancing the amber color of the tequila. Each of the 500 bottles is placed inside a handmade leather display case adorned with a gemstone. Included are a leather-bound book and video documenting this historic partnership.

This aesthetic collaboration is certain to be a bestseller. The content is an exceptional blend of the oldest, rarest Patron tequilas handpicked from the barrel aging room at the Hacienda Patron distillery in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, then aged for at least four years in a combined American oak and French oak barrels. The centuries-old Lalique factory in Wingen-sur-Moder, France has mastered the glassmaking tradition. Their craftsmen combine modern and traditional techniques where each piece is blown, pressed, fashioned, engraved, polished, and signed. The countertop appeal of Patron en Lalique traverses our ultimate fantasies and can be added to the must-haves of long-time crystal collectors and spirits aficionados.

Lalique is available at Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-la and Rustan’s Cebu. www.facebook.com/tinahidalgojacinto www.tinajacinto.com
