People seek out the exceptional, the best of the best. Guided by this end, Sofitel Philippine Plaza, the luxury hotel with a French soul has set a standard with its iconic design, culture, and gastronomy. Its recent events have all added glitter to the city calendar.
La Nuit, Sofitel’s latest signature happening, held at the Harbor Garden tent, was a multi-experience concept where no indulgence was left unattended. Party people were transported to Parisian nightlife fused with the local party scene. It was the perfect setting for fashion designer Ryan Madamba who showed off his resort collection, Crepuscule. There was live musical numbers by Freestyle and it was a dance party where energy levels soared with DJ Callum David. Free flowing Anna Codorniu Spanish cava, together with signature La Nuit Sofitel cocktails, was served in this gastronomic journey. Stations of French hors d’oeuvres, pasta, crepe, carving, charcuterie, and chocolate station dotted the party scene.
At the end of a working day, nothing could be better than to unwind with a wine-pairing dinner. Wine has become the Millennials’ escapist fix with its mood-enhancing quality. Sofitel takes center stage with its exquisite wine dinners held regularly, featuring world-renowned regions and vineyards. Recently Sofitel partnered with Bolla Wines headed by Gruppo Italiano Vini Wine interpreter Maurizio Bertacchini fpr a five-course menu by executive chef Denis Vecchiato. The splendid dinner was paired with a premier wine collection from Northeast Italy. The Bolla wine collection included Cremant de Bourgogne, Le Poiane Valpolicella Ripasso, Melini Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie IGT, and Torralta Conegliano Valdobbiadene.
Still on wine celebrations, the Dynastie Des Ferraud wine dinner was hosted by Le Cellier French Wine Selection managing director Bernard Flour at Spiral. In celebration of 130 years and five generations of producing wines, a wine pairing four-course dinner was held. Dessert was paired with Alcohols de Mette. The vineyards of P. Ferraud & Fils has been producing the finest wines since 1860, utilizing their hundred-year-old breeding in wooden tun.
